The event was graced by distinguished guests including Mr. Ye Xiangyang, Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the Fuqing Rongqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone; Mr. Fang Hui, Director of Scientific Research at the College of Materials Science and Engineering, Fujian University of Technology; as well as representatives from partner financial institutions. Company leadership, including Executive President Mr. Chen Qina, together with customers, partners, and employee representatives from across the country, gathered to witness Forop’s latest breakthroughs in high‑performance, sustainable film materials.

At the outset of the event, Mr. Fang Hui, Director of Scientific Research at the College of Materials Science and Engineering of Fujian University of Technology and a key academic partner in Forop’s innovation projects, highlighted the importance of synergy between technological innovation and industrial development from an industry–academia–research collaboration perspective. He spoke highly of Forop’s achievements in transforming scientific research into industrial applications and in cultivating talent.

Dr. Zhang Shunqi, General Manager of Forop’s R&D Center, then took the stage to provide an in‑depth analysis of market trends and the development outlook for high‑performance BOPP, BOPE and other advanced film materials. As demand for sustainable, high‑performance packaging materials continues to grow, he emphasized that Forop, backed by continuous technological investment and keen market insight, has built a comprehensive product portfolio covering multiple application scenarios and functionalities.

New Product Launch

In the product release segment, Mr. Ma Jun, Senior Manager of the Research Department at Forop’s R&D Center, unveiled the company’s next‑generation high‑transparency BOPE and laminated BOPE films.

The high‑transparency BOPE film features low haze and high gloss, making it well suited for frozen foods, liquid packaging, and recyclable mono‑material flexible packaging. The laminated BOPE film offers excellent heat resistance, low thermal shrinkage, high puncture resistance, and high stiffness, making it ideal for heavy‑duty packaging such as pet food and rice bags, inflated seafood packaging, and mono‑material flexible packaging structures.

Dr. Zhang Shunqi then returned to the stage to introduce two additional innovations: high‑temperature‑resistant BOPP and bio‑based BOPP films.

The high‑temperature‑resistant BOPP film maintains dimensional stability at 135–140℃ and retains its shape, size, and transparency after 30 minutes of steam sterilization at 121℃, making it suitable for boil‑in‑bag applications, high‑temperature filling flexible packaging, and ready‑to‑eat meal packaging. The bio‑based BOPP film delivers a low‑carbon, green, and environmentally friendly profile from raw materials through end‑of‑life, and can be fully applied in traditional BOPP transparent film usage scenarios.

Also launched at the event were three upgraded products: a high‑strength anti‑fog film, a low‑temperature matte heat‑sealable film, and a 75‑micron ultra‑thick matte film. Together, these seven new products not only offer outstanding physical performance and sustainability attributes, but can also be customized to meet specific customer requirements, significantly expanding downstream application space and demonstrating Forop’s full‑value‑chain innovation capabilities from material R&D to end‑use application development.
