On July 8-10, 2024, the first global BOPE summit was held in Siegsdorf, Germany and Salzburg, Austria, in which Forop Advanced Materials participated as an guest speaker. At present, the value chain of plastic packaging industry is confronted with various new requirements and challenges. Sustainability, circular economy, recycling, and the associated laws and regulations as well as customer behavior become the key directions. BOPE film plays as a vital part of the mono-material packaging, although it can provide a solution for sustainable circular economy. however, the supply chain is not yet fully exploiting the potential of this new player, partly due to a lack of information.
The summit brought together 150 invited participants from over 30 nations worldwide, including raw material producers, film manufacturers, converters, brand owners, retailers and recyclers. At the summit, Forop Advanced Materials shared its experience, obstacles as well as innovative ideas on BOPE film packaging solutions, and exchanged ideas with industry partners to explore the possibilities of today's packaging industry with mono-materials.
In the future, Forop Advanced Materials will continue to uphold the concept of innovation and sustainable development.
